Chronic Back Pain

Millions of people suffer from chronic back pain.

It is estimated that about 80% of the population will experience back pain during their lifetime. About 7% of these will suffer from chronic back pain. I have trained clients who suffer from this, ages ranging from 20-70 years. Regardless of gender or age, one can focus on limiting the effects or in some cases, depending on the cause, eliminate the pain completely.

The cause of chronic back pain can include mechanical problems, diseases, and health conditions.

Some of the most common causes are:

  • Osteoarthritis or rheumatism

  • Slipped Disc or herniated disc

  • Sciatica

  • Fracture

  • Spinal Stenosis

  • A tumor (rare)

  • Muscular Imbalance

  • Weak Core

In my experience, clients that suffer from chronic back pain are lacking muscular balance, core strength, flexibility, or have degenerative disc disease and ostepathithis.

At Performance Evolution, we have the knowledge and tools to help manage chronic back pain. Stay tuned for a few simple dynamic flexibility routines and exercises that can help alleviate the pain!
